This activity provides a more user-friendly way to compare two DataTables based on the contents of the other. The input and output are as follows.

Use cases for this activity include:

*   Filtering an Excel sheet containing information about companies based on a table extracted from a website
*   Identifying records that are common to two tables of contacts that come from different sources
*   Eliminating duplicates that occur when aggregating CSV files corresponding to different periods of time

It compares two input DataTables and outputs three new DataTables with the following characteristics:

(1) Rows that belong only to the first input DataTable

(2) Rows that are common to both input DataTables

(3) Rows that belong only to the second input DataTable.

This activity compares two input DataTables and outputs three new DataTables

This activity allows you to extract the tabular data and non-tabular data from PDF to Excel format. In this activity there are two fields for passing the input.

1.  PDF: Set the path of the PDF file.
2.  Tabular: Pass only true or false value.

'true' = Convert all data to spreadsheet (tabular and even textual). 

'false' = Skip textual data and convert only tabular (tables) data.

Also Install API function 'SautinSoft' (PDF focus.Net) after downloading 'PDF to Excel' activity.

SautinSoft used offers a trial version that only converts 3 pages of PDF and it is for evaluation purposes only.

Extract only tabular data and text data from PDF to Excel

**Objectives:**

*   Providing a robust and facile manner of processing very large excel files in the background and without relying on COM Interop.
*   The implementation of custom activities that will give the user the last row of the excel file (extremely useful when trying to process a file in chunks). Currently trying to read a file in chunks is impossible without knowing the number of rows and columns in the sheet.
*   The implementation of an Application Scope activity that will allow the grouping of the custom activities in this package.
*   Providing activities that are similar in structure and in the type of parameters to the current Excel application

**Observation and limitations:**

The activity will not keep track of the formats used to display values in the Excel appliation. For example, a cell with a value of 43006 formatted as date will be displayed as 9/28/2017 in Excel, but our activity will still retrieve it as: 43006.

Files in which the row starts with the index 0 (this index can be found in the xml markup of the row) will not be processed. The row number also needs to be under 1048576 (the maximum number of rows in an Excel Sheet). If a row number outside of this interval is found, the application will throw an exception. This limitation is also available for the Read Range in the Workbook activities package.

This package is not compatible with .xls files or .csv files. Only .xlsx files can be read with this activity. Reading Large XLS files can be done in conjunction with the Conversions Package which will convert the file to an xlsx file, thus making it compatible with this package.

Some very minor differences when deciding where a range ends between the standard Excel processing activities and mine

**Technical Approach:**

The files will be processed in the background using the Open XML SDK library and the SAX (Simple API for XML) approach which instead of reading the entire document and exposing its DOM, will independently read the XML files that comprise the Excel document.

**Read Range**

**Principles**

This custom activity reads a Range of cells from an excel Sheet has.

This custom activity achieves its goal by using the Open XML SDK framework and the OpenXmlReader class to parse the File in a SAX like approach. To get the number of rows, we simply parse the file and count the rows.

The custom activity is created by simply inheriting the CodeActivity class from the Windows Workflow Foundation framework.We define the logic of the function by implementing the Execute method and we define the input and output of the activity by fields of the InArgument and OutArgument types.

This activity can only be placed inside an XL Excel Application Scope activity (not necessarily directly inside, but one of its parents must be an XL Excel Application Scope).

An activity pack used to read and process extra large excel files.

Input:

**_DestinationPath_** \- Type String - Optional :

Specifies the absolute path of to store the PDF file. If unspecified, it takes in the path of the Source Excel file and stores the PDF file in that path.

**_ExcelSourcePath_** \- Type String - Mandatory :

Specifies the absolute path of the Excel file to be converted.

**_SheetName_**\- Type String - Optional:

Specifies the name of the particular sheet to be converted to PDF. If unspecified, the whole workbook is converted to a PDF Document.

Output:

**_result_**\- Type boolean - Optional :

Returns True if the operation has been carried out successfully, otherwise returns False.

Converts an Excel file to a PDF file by specifying the worksheet name. If the Worksheet name is not specified the whole Workbook is converted to PDF

**Activity Description**

Performing advanced Excel functions without the use of Excel is quite hard. These functions are most of the time required by automation projects to handle different scenarios. This Data Manipulations component is an effort to ease out the hassle of using these advanced data manipulations within UiPath itself.

**Activities included - All these activities are independent and does not require Excel to run**

*   **Data Transpose:** Similar to the Excel Transpose function. Provide a DataTable with data and it will transpose the data for you
*   **Network Days:** Provide the start date and end date along with the holidays that fall within the period defined by the two dates and it will generate the number of working days and hours (number of days \* 24)
*   **Custom Date Series:** Similar to the WORKDAY.INTL function in Excel. Provides a custom list of days based on the date pattern provided.
