Overview
As part of the Mortgage Processing, one of the initial steps is checking if all required documents as per the lender checklist, are submitted and subsequent indexing of each document. In order to perform this activity, a front office agent primarily collects the documents from the customer and then scans these documents and shares the scanned package with operations team. This team now performs the checks and indexes the documents in the required loan system. In many cases documents submitted by customers are incomplete or missing. Once the gaps are identified during the indexing process, the front office agent reaches to the customer for getting the missing docs.
Using this accelerator, the process for indexing of mortgage documents can be automated, making use of the UiPath Apps (Human in the Loop) capability. The UiPath bot will extract the scanned documents package. It will check for required documents as per the checklist and also split each document from the PDF package. Each document is also checked for completeness and is uploaded to the required folders in the loans systems. The bot also indicates the gaps in the system and notifies through email to the respective front office agents.
