Helps for quick Salesforce campaigns creation by reading campaigns data from multiple CSV files
Overview
Overview
This solution is helpful for quick Salesforce campaigns creation by reading predefined data from multiple CSV files and by using the “Add Campaign” activity.
Also, if the field ParentId is not populated in the CSV files, this solution is offering the option either to choose to continue anyway (because it is not required field), to provide CSV file for creating new campaign or to choose from the list of existing campaigns from Salesforce.
After the campaigns are successfully created, they will be validated by using “Check ID” activity.
How to use:
Watch this video in order to establish the connection between UiPath and Salesforce Lightning Platform.
Update the CSV files with appropriate data (CSV files by default are stored in “CsvCampaignData” and “CsvCampaign” folders).
Open Main.xaml in UiPath Studio.
Click on Run File.
It will ask you to provide the needed input data such as: Salesforce username, Salesforce password, Security Token, Consumer Key, Security Key and location of the CSV file (in case it was changed from the default location).
If PrarentId is not populated, choose how to proceed:
- Continue Anyway - the campaign will be created without the ParentId, since it is not a required field
- Create new Campaign – update CSV file with appropriate data (CSV files for creating campaign whose Id will be used as ParentId by default are stored in “CsvCampaign” folder)
- Choose from existing Campaigns – providing the list from existing campaigns in Salesforce by using Get Campaign List activity, giving the option to choose one of them.
