Dropbox Integrations and Connector

Supercharge your productivity with a package that can connect with Dropbox and perform various operations.

The activities in the Dropbox suite developed for UiPath Studio allows the user to work in the background with Dropbox using Dropbox internal APIs. 

The Dropbox Activity package contains 14 activities (will add more activities in future) that allows user to perform various operations like Add, Move, Copy, Delete a file or a folder, Download a file, Download a folder as zip, upload a file to Dropbox, Generate the shareable link and Get the user account information.  Please check below for the entire list of activities:

To be able to use the component you just need to generate the Token from the Dropbox account and add it to the component. 

 To generate the Token, you need to access this [link](https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps), create an app there and click on “Generated access token”.

This set of activities will help you interact with Dropbox

Manage your Dropbox easily with this activity package.

All activities works in scope activity. 

To use the activity package, get authentication token with the button on the Dropbox Scope activity and paste it to it's property.

  

**Dropbox Scope**

Enables you to give access to the Dropbox app and get authentication token.

**Get File List**

Get the list of files in specified folder.

**Get Folder List**

Get the list of folders in specified folder.

**Create New Folder**

Create new folder in specified path with given name.

**Download File**

Download a file with the input of file path (string) or Dropbox item.

**Upload File**

Upload a file from local file to given folder path.

**Move**

Move files / folders as input of file path (string) or Dropbox item to given destination (path as string).

Move activity also can be used as "Rename".

**Delete**

Delete given file or folder (with path or Dropbox item).

_Important:_ Folders are deleted with the containing files and folders.

The idea to create custom activities for Dropbox came to me when one of my friends asked me to help him out with the some integration issue he was having with the Dropbox JS SDK.

The project contains custom UIPath activities which facilitate automation of Dropbox tasks with UIPath Studio. The project contains:

1.  A Dropbox application connector (responsible for communicating with Dropbox by reusing the Dropbox .Net SDK)
2.  A set of custom activities (create file, copy, move, delete, upload, download, other) to be used by UIPath Studio to automate tasks for Dropbox
