These custom activities which are not part of UiPath inbuilt activities help workflow developers in the most frequent Windows based operations.

It allows non-programmers to perform these windows actions without invoking code and also saves time for the developers with programming knowledge.

WindowsXT package allows the users to easily integrate popular Windows activities

The activity will wait for one of the specified file events to occur and when that happens it will return the event type and file name that triggered the event. After the event is triggered the activity will try to wait for the changes to stabilize and the file to be released by the originating process.

This is a one time activity - meaning that the watcher will finish monitoring after the first event that matches the required criteria happens.

A custom activity that monitors a directory for specific file events like create, delete, exists, update and rename.

**LockFolder** allows us to lock a folder access until we decide that it is safe to unlock it.

**UnLockFolder** allows us to unlock a folder that was previously locked.

This action can be useful in order to protect main data during the processing of the copy files

! Note: the default UiPath Studio activity for "Delete file" is able to perform the deletion of a file from inside the locked folder as long as you provide the full path and the correct name of the file.

The activity allows you to lock and unlock a certain folder

This activity allows you to read a .eml file (email file) and to convert into a .Net MailMessage object. The .Net object can be handled in any RPA workflow as your automation requires.

Use cases:

*   an archive of saved emails can be easily transformed into a database table for ease of use
*   any saved .eml can be 'read' and be used as necessary (for example save the attachment or read that one too or respond to email sender automatically)
*   from an entire folder with .eml files you can search the one(s) corresponding to your needs (for example if you have an archive with emails containing reports, you can find the right one using this activity and looking into each MailMessage object for key words)

This activity returns a .net MailMessage object, that can be handled by other existing activities, from a saved .eml file.
