This accelerator assists in automation of process steps within the home mortgage application processing cycle. The automation journey begins with customer application submission through online banking channel. The customer provides personal details, mortgage requirements and uploads identity and income verification document. After the application is submitted, it is sent to a queue in the UiPath Orchestrator. The Orchestrator distributes the workload and case is passed on to a Robot for initiating the application processing.

The first step performed by UiPath Robot is performing KYC for the customer. The robot performs KYC operation using the India KYC activity pack. As part of the KYC process, it extracts information from Indian identity documents and submits for verification as per regulatory requirement. Post KYC process, the accelerator will perform income and credit verification to determine the eligibility of loan applicant for the home loan. For this, the Robot extracts information from the monthly salary slip submitted by the client. It then gets the credit score of the applicant by extracting information from the credit report. It determines the amount of loan which can be sanctioned to the applicant basis the income and credit analysis. The Robot passes the loan limit range through online channel to the customer for real time agreement. After confirmation from the customer, the UiPath Robot prepares the Loan Agreement basis the information processed and sends the final agreement to the customer through email for getting signatures.

To customize this solution for specific regional requirements, this solution has been subdivided into two parts. The first part where KYC activity is being used is specific to the country regulatory requirements and can be replaced by country specific KYC packs. The 2nd part of the process is standard loan processing and is available to be used agnostic of regions. This accelerator can be used by BFS institutions providing home mortgage solution by customizing to there specific requirements.

**Beneficial Ownership Extraction:** This process is an integral part of the Anti-Money Laundering or similar regulatory Risk Assessment and all Financial Services firms must comply with this in order to maintain licenses. During customer on-boarding process for a client, the KYC analysts must collect and update client profile including beneficial ownership information to correctly assess client risk. The analysts must ensure that all necessary information required to complete the KYC record is available and accurate. After on-boarding a client, the KYC Profile will be monitored for substantive changes to the original information captured. And finally, they must ensure that that the risk assessment of the customer has not materially changed.

In most banks, ascertaining Beneficial Ownership is time consuming and prone to errors largely due to unstructured nature of the documents that serve as single source of truth. Some of these documents include Proxy Statements, Form 13F and 13D filed with SEC. Top 20 US banks spend close to USD 50 MM per annum on KYC alone and UBO is a significant overhead in this lifecycle.

Insurance industry uses ACORD as a standard for exchanging information between business entities for various product and process specific business transactions. While modern Core platforms (such as Policy Administration, Claims and Billing) provide capability to exchange information through Webservice or API, due to legacy footprint and business spread across multiple systems, Insurers are implementing front-end based automation of transactions even when the digital systems (such as Agency Management Systems, Portals etc.) are able to submit transactions in ACORD compliant XML. This accelerator helps RPA Developers in applying ACORD standard data model for mapping to front-end based automation for legacy core platforms as well as defining data for services based integration with non-ACORD compliant systems. The accelerator increases re-usability and accuracy while reduces effort in defining custom data variables across the transactions.

While generic XML Deserializers can ingest XML content and provide deserliazed DOM objects, they are still complicated to navigate through the elements to locate and fetch business information. This activity package has used the Microsoft Visual Studio XSD.exe tool to generate a strongly typed class library using the ACORD P&C XSD files and provides an activity to take in any XML file or string and provide an ACORD object as output.  Strongly typed ACORD objects are easy to navigate using Intellisense to locate and fetch business information.

The Accelerator converts an ACORD XML into strongly typed ACORD business objects in compliance with relevant ACORD Schema

As part of the measures to reduce impact on employees due to economic disruption from Covid-19, $350 billion Paycheck Protection Program (or PPP) SBA loans is becoming available to all businesses with fewer than 500 employees. This has given the 50-fold increase banks will have to handle 800K loans to be processed over the next two or three months.

This accelerator demonstrates automation of the PPP SBA Loan Journey and covers the following stages:

  

•_**Extracting borrower information**_ _from forms such as PPP/941/940/944/1099 Misc._

•_Performing_ _**detailed loan verification and underwriting**_ _checks and finally_

•_**Preparing data for submission**_ _into SBA portal_

  

Using this accelerator, overall turn around time to process SBA loans can be significantly reduced.
